There’s no substitute for experience and this also goes for booking travel. Every time we book a tour, all we can do is cross our fingers and hope we chose a good provider. But with TripAdvisor’s 2018 Travel Trends Report, we now know the best tour in the world.
The report from TripAdvisor revealed that travellers like us are becoming increasingly interested in authentic experiences, that capture the essence of a place’s identity. We crave sites we’ve never seen before, and if we can – and let’s be honest here – skip the long lines!
Fortunately for us, City Wonders has got our checklist covered.
Wandering Rome with City Wonders
According to the report and almost 14,000 reviews, booking a tour with City Wonders is almost guaranteed to be amazing. It’s the most popular tour on TripAdvisor’s site, and I think it’s safe to say we can take their word for it.
The City Wonders Vatican Museum Tours (which costs under US$100) includes a visit to The Vatican’s museums, the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica – all of which are iconic destinations in Rome.
Like most tours, they offer daytours with a group of 20 people or less and provide headsets so tourists can always hear their guide.
In addition, they’ll be able to enter through exclusive Vatican Partners Entrances and avoid the long lines as shown in the photo below.
There are only three official Vatican Museum Tour Operator Partners, and City Wonders is one of them.
Taking this tour is an excellent way to get right into the action and get in-depth information about the sites. Some reviews even hail it as the best way to experience the Vatican.
Oh, and the tour takes just three hours so you’ll have more time to do some exploring by yourself.
