Private jets

ARE you someone who uses apps and comparison websites to get the cheapest airfares? You’re not alone, thousands of people do every day to secure the hottest deals.

But what if you didn’t have to buy economy, business or even first class seats for that matter?

What if you could charter your own private plane, crew, and pilots to fly you anywhere in the world?

For an extraordinarily wealthy few, this is their reality.

Here for your envy-inducing enjoyment are three of the world’s most expensive private jets.

Bombardier Global 8000

Priced at a cool US$66 million, this private jet has been designed to meet the modern business traveler’s needs.

It’s also brilliantly fuel-efficient, meaning less polluting gasses are produced. The spacious dining and conference area is perfect for entertaining guests or holding meetings.

The jet also has a “home-like” master bedroom which makes the need for cumbersome travel pillows obsolete.

Whether you’re flying from Malaysia to Hong Kong or Los Angeles to Sydney, this jet will keep you way more comfortable than any first-class cabin could.

Boeing 757

These planes are usually affiliated with commercial airlines but if you’ve got a spare US$100 million knocking around then one could be yours.

US President Donald Trump, has his very own Boeing 757, though we imagine with access to Air Force One, he doesn’t need it so much anymore.

That doesn’t mean it wasn’t designed exactly to Trump’s taste though.

His luxury jet can seat 43 passengers, strapped in tightly by gold plated seat belts.

The plane also has Rolls Royce engines and a media library of over 1,000 movies and 2,500 CDs.

Airbus 380

Owned by Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal al-Saud, this private jet is the most expensive and lavish on the list.

You may have flown on a similar model if you’ve traveled with Singapore Airlines or Emirates, but they’re unlikely to have looked like this one.

The plane is more like a palace than a transport method. Equipped with a spiral staircase connecting all three floors, more than most people have in their homes, it boasts furnishings that scream money.

As for mod-cons, each of the four luxury suites on board has connecting prayer rooms with electronic mats that automatically point towards Mecca, no matter which direction the plane is flying in.

But the luxuries don’t end there. How about a concert hall equipped with a stage and grand piano for in-flight entertainment? Sure does beat a fuzzy old film on a headrest.

There is also a Turkish bath and plenty of parking space for the Prince’s Rolls Royce.

All of this for just US$500 million? “We’ll take two,” said nobody ever.
