ROYALLY famous for being Queen Elizabeth II’s favorite breed of dogs, corgis have taken over the world with their stubby little legs and all-too-iconic “bubble butt”.

Having loved corgis since she was a little girl, Queen Elizabeth II has had more than 30 corgis since 1945 and her children, as well as her grandchildren, grew up around the dogs. Queen Elizabeth II was often photographed with her beloved furkids in official photos, while roaming the grounds of Windsor Castle, when they accompanied her on royal business, and on holiday.

And now, there is an opportunity for you to get up close and personal with the cute mutts right here in Southeast Asia.

Located along the busy streets of the Thai capital city of Bangkok, Corgi in the Garden may look like a quaint unassuming cafe but it is, in fact, home to 12 fluffy and affectionate corgis. A true heaven for corgi lovers, the cafe is owned by 36-year-old businesswoman Tanchanok Kanawong who said she had not initially planned to open a corgi cafe.

“My two corgis just happened to mate and give birth to a large litter of seven puppies. Then I bought three more corgis from my friend. That’s quite enough to spread the love and share their cuteness with others,” star2 quoted her as saying.

Corgi in the Garden has a backyard for the dogs to roam around. Tanchanok’s pups can be seen playing three to four hours a day, six days a week, on a schedule.

There are four slots available: 10:30am (weekends only), 12:30pm, 2:30pm, and 4:30pm. During these times, visitors are given only one hour to interact with the dogs. But of course, quality time with the corgies does not come for free.

Visitors will be required to make a minimum order of THB250 (US$7.81) per person here at Corgi in the Garden. The cafe also serves up a variety of snacks and ice cream if you are feeling a little peckish.

Just grab yourself a refreshing drink, enjoy the respite from the heat, and remember to take a chockfull of selfies with the cuties. Whether you are new to interacting with corgis, thinking of getting a corgi yourself, or a dog lover, Corgi in the Garden promises a corgi experience like no other.
