MALAYSIA Airlines Berhad (MAB), Malaysia’s flag carrier, has unveiled the second phase of its brand promise of Malaysian Hospitality.

With this initiative, part of the airline’s Malaysian Hospitality campaign which launched last year, MAB is offering new products designed to enhance the overall travel experience and offering more direct benefits to travelers.

In April 2018, MAB launched three new digital initiatives to enhance passenger travel experience. The tech upgrade is a long time coming for MAB as the company has been prioritizing its investment in digital advancement over the past year.

The three digital initiatives – MHguardian, MHfeedback and Facebook Messenger BOT MHChat – is also supported by MAB’s improved website. Later, MAB saw other significant improvements such as the best of Malaysian cuisine on its flights and a revamped Golden Lounge with a more contemporary and luxurious look and feel.

Now, into its second phase, travelers will experience MAB’s Malaysian Hospitality beyond just flight tickets, thanks to a new app called MHassistant. It offers additional features which will look beyond just the flights.

Through MHassistant, positioned to be a “24/7 travel buddy”, MAB travelers will be able to download MHvouchers that can be used on a host of exciting experiences which includes cuisine and shopping.

“Last year, we launched Malaysian Hospitality which was anchored around our services and product offerings. This year we are taking to the next level where we bring more benefits to the entire traveling eco-system,” New Straits Times quoted MAB group chief marketing and customer experience officer Lau Yin May as saying.

“Our guests can enjoy Malaysian Hospitality beyond what the airline offers. It now includes the entire country via our app MHassistant, which includes great offers via our partners, from restaurants, shopping, cultural experiences and a whole host of unique Malaysian experiences,” she added.

MHassistant was unveiled at the airline’s brand new ticketing store in Nu Sentral Kuala Lumpur, which is the hub of transportation of the Malaysian city. The app is available for both Android and iOS devices.

“Also in the pipeline is a holiday package product that will enable passengers to tailor-make their own holidays with the combination of flights, accommodation and other destination partners to ensure their vacations truly reflect Malaysia and the country’s unique Malaysian Hospitality,” Lau explained.

MAB is not stopping there as Lau revealed they will also launch another app, MHholidays, as part of the integration campaign to provide passengers a seamless experience in planning their holidays.

“We already have a few partners in the pipeline that’s already confirmed and once we launch the app, they are already on board. And the partners we have are already with some food and beverage dining outlets, hotel accommodations, tourist attractions – all within Malaysia,” she said.
