SINGAPORE welcomes at least 1.1 million tourists arrivals from business and leisure travelers monthly and the island-city state just knows how to keep them coming.
For starters, it had just opened Jewel Changi Airport, an addition to Singapore’s main airport that is a solid boost to Changi Airport’s already impressive repertoire, as the aviation hub has previously been voted best in the world six years in a row. This means your fun-filled Singapore travel experience starts from the moment you step off the aircraft.
Its Ministry of Trade and Industry also recently announced it will be investing a whopping total of SGD9 billion (US$6.66 billion) in its tourism. This includes the construction of a fourth tower at the Marina Bay Sands hotel, the expansion of resorts owned by Genting on Sentosa island, and new exciting attractions in the pipeline for Universal Studios Singapore.
But it is not just all bleisure and family fun. Partygoers too will have a reason to book the next flight out to Singapore.
Over the weekend, Singapore’s largest nightclub opened to great fanfare, adding to its already thriving nightlife scene. Located inside Marina Bay Sands’ The Shoppes, Marquee Singapore is a massive 30 meters tall and 2,300 square meters large entertainment venue.
For the uninitiated, the celebrity favorite Marquee hails from New York, with extensions in Las Vegas, Sydney, and now Singapore. It is owned by Tao Group, the premier restaurant and nightlife group with over 20 venues around the world.
In the past, it had featured residencies of world-class entertainers and DJs like Kaskade, Dash Berlin, Erick Morillo, Andrew Rayel, DJ Khaled, French Montana, and Travis Scott.
Marquee Singapore is part of a multi-concept dining and entertainment destination offering at Marina Bay Sands, promising “a fully immersive nightclub experience with a perfect blend of design, technology and cutting-edge sound that will span across three different floors, dramatically high ceilings that soar 70 feet and a full-sized, an eight-armed Ferris wheel that offers unrivaled views of the nightclub when you ride in its pods”.
Initial reviews from partygoers who were there for the star-studded opening night described Marquee Singapore to be a mind-blowing experience. “There is plenty of free-roaming areas as well as cushy seats all guests are welcome to chill on,” one reviewer wrote.
The club also received high praises for its huge three-story slides equipped with colorful flashing lights within and the indoor Ferris wheel with built-in photobooths which allow attendees to “get the best of both worlds by getting lit at the club and indulging your kid-at-heart tendencies”.
It is safe to say that your Marquee Singapore experience will be an electrifying and a gratifying one.
