STEP aside, Street Food.
American-born Korean chef David Chang is ready to take his insatiable curiosity about food, culture, and identity on the road, in the convivial company of fun-loving celebrity guests.
You may or may not remember Netflix’s wildly successful Street Food, the nine-part foodie series which brought viewers to some of the world’s most vibrant cities, where the rich culture of street food is explored.
From the hawker stalls of Singapore to the food carts of India, the episodes highlight the stories of perseverance and culture that bring life to various countries’ cuisine. Nations visited include Thailand, Japan, Indonesia, South Korea, and Vietnam.
Now, Netflix is about to roll out another limited docuseries entitled Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner, which will take you on a trip around the world with iconic chef-turned-media powerhouse David Chang and his celebrity buddies.
David Chang is, of course, no stranger to foodie shows. Last year, the award-winning restauranteur presented Netflix’s massively successful Ugly Delicious, a travelogue that sent him on a journey to culinary hot spots around the world.
Joined by his guests, a list that includes the likes of TV host Jimmy Kimmel, comic Nick Kroll, and writer Peter Meehan, they ventured out of polished kitchens into the wider world to explore locales including Houston, Tokyo, and Copenhagen.
In the upcoming Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner, Chang will give you a glimpse of the local cuisines and culture in Vancouver, Canada; Morocco; Phnom Penh, Cambodia; and Los Angeles, US – with a score of fun-loving celebrity guests in tow.
In Morocco, Chrissy Teigen will show Chang her favorite vacation spots while Point Secondary School alum Seth Rogen will take Chang to the best places to eat in Vancouver such as Lee’s Donuts at Granville Island and HK BBQ Master in Richmond.
To add on, Chang will also be savoring the freshest crawfish in Los Angeles with Master of None star Lena Waithe and tasting the best tropical fruits and local delicacies that Phnom Penh has to offer with Ghostbusters actress Kate McKinnon.
Watch as Chang has breakfast, lunch, and dinner with his guests in each episode, exploring exotic foods, culture, as well as the history and identity of each exciting destination. Check out the full trailer below:
