Vietnam Airlines has confirmed that it will commence its IATA Travel Pass
trial on two flights numbered VN301 from Narita
Airport (Tokyo, Japan) to Da Nang on 15 and 23 July 2021.
Passengers wishing to
participate can register on Vietnam Airlines’ website at least 3
days before departure date, download the IATA Travel Pass
application to their mobile phones, create their digital passport
and enter flight information.
Passengers need to be over 18 years of age and
have a negative COVID19 result from any eligible
clinic based on the IATA lab registry.

The first 30 passengers who complete the survey on Vietnam
Airlines’ IATA Travel Pass test flights in July will receive a
Titanium Lotusmile membership card.
Currently, more than 70 airlines are trialing or
have committed to trial the IATA Travel Pass. The IATA Travel Pass
enables passengers to share the test and vaccination certificates
and securely manage their travel in line with government
requirements. This will be important for governments that are
likely to require either verified testing or vaccination proof as
a condition of international travel during and after the COVID-19
pandemic. Crucially, the IATA Travel Pass reduces the huge risks
associated with passengers using fake test results and vaccination
